May I suggest an indefinite pause for "iconic"? May I also refer all and sundry offenders to "Politics and the English Language", George Orwell's always-pertinent essay?
Back in the late 90s, I used to work at a media research company, and the word “synergy” was constantly bandied around to describe the media, mergers and acquisitions of the day. “Vertical integration” was another gem, and of course “Cash is King” stood as a requisite buzzword in every article we wrote. We didn’t have “vibes” back then, but at least “groovy” had passed into blissful history!
Good one, Tom.
Good read. Ann
Thank you!

Aye, aye! The motion passes!
That’s an accurate list. The only word I use is content but more describing the state of being.
Agree, I’m referring to “writing” that is as contemptuous as it is careless, that spits at beauty, grace, and subtlety
Like the kind of writing about how to write about writing?
The kind of writing that hawks solutions to problems the charlatan salesman couldn’t himself crack.

stop killing the vibes. they are useful frameworks to optimize frictionless conversations and enable synergies amongst different stakeholders
Get behind me, Satan!
