Interesting... I'd never seen the phrase on the skull. Which is weird because in the LDS faith we have a similar couplet:
"As man now is, God once was:
As God now is, man may be."
Which to be fair most mainstream Christians view as wildly heretical, but it's interesting to contrast it with your Memento Mori phrase...
