This is gorgeous. I needed many of these words today. I'm deeply grateful I found them when I did. These are treasures which can only be written from years of experience. Thankful for you, Tom.

Ohhh, I really liked some of these.

My favorites:

That you were a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock hurtling through space?

That the king and the pawn go in the same box after the game is over?

That the key to life was to know it’s all made up, but that you get to make it up?

When did I "realize that there was a lot more than meets the eye?"

Hm. Great question.

I guess that I am in no privileged position to believe that for all of us we are seeking and soaking up ways to see more clearly through the Veil. And I guess its the very realization that everything we experience, everyone we meet, every love and punch we absorb, is a means through which we can come to see Reality more truly. It's THAT realization that helps us decode the whole of experiences, bit by bit, epiphany here, and terrible self-loathing there and all that goes on in between that sharpens our Vision.

You're posts have really been spot on. The fact that you included Dwyer to introduce your composition here strikes me now. I've been considering the idea of how thought shapes and colors our perception of Reality. Some say that what we think literally creates our reality. And I subscribe to that, up to a point. Because it's deeper than that, isn't it? Because, behind our thoughts is Belief. And what we experience meets the essence of our beings and that transmorphs into belief over time. And what we believe transmorphs what we think and then what we do, how we act.

And so, just last night, through the crazy thing I've been trying to do, very much akin to your notion of experimentation, thinking aloud, and testing ideas, I came up with this:

If you have time, I'd love to know what you think. Feel free to glance at the surrounding pieces to perhaps feel your way into what I'm circling around...
