Much love to one of the best humans and minds I know. I'd take that empty seat next to you and would always fight for you to keep your seat at work. Count me as one of the many in your corner and ready to support at any time.
Tom, you have a stunning ability to reach beyond words into people's minds, and hearts, and souls. There is a part of the world that reacts to your Tourettes, and there is a part that reacts to your genius. From my point of view, to hell with the first part. Keep writing and creating!
Tom, I admire you greatly. I am thankful for our friendship. God is good and you are truly blessed with faith and strength. Thank you for what you are doing.
When others interact with you, Tom, they can only perceive the outside manifestation of the Tourette’s, without having any idea of what is going on inside your head. I had no idea it was such a day-to-day struggle. So, like Sally wondered, is it like white noise going on inside your head? For my part, I enjoy your Substack and hope it is a way for you to smooth out the ups and downs of your life’s Tour.
The name of your substack has new meaning! Thanks for sharing this piece with us, Tourettes is something I had little real understanding of. I’m sorry the world sees it the way it does, we have not evolved out of our ‘safety in conformity’ ways alas.
lol, I actually hadn’t thought of that meaning, my comment made me look cleverer than I am 😂. I was just thinking of white noise as a way to calm the mind.

Thank you, Dave. You are an absolute gem and truly one of one.

You are a warrior and a true hero. The positive impact you have had on people is not something that can be measured!

Thank you, Jeff. God is good and, as long as I can help it, I shall never stop.
I found incredibly powerful and articulate. I hope you will write a book about this. My friend Tim Page’s Parallel Play might be a reference point. ❤️
Thank you so very much, Dave. I shall check it out.
Tom, you have a friend in me, my brother.

Thank you, Sally. I'm nothing if not a huge fan of double entendres!

The beauty and delight of English at work!
One of the best descriptions of TS I’ve read! This really captures parts of my own experience in a way I have not yet been able to. Thank you!
Thank you, Shannon. Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight!
Thank you!
